Sea Shepherd COVID-19 Announcement
Published by Sea Shepherd Conservation Society
Dear Friends,
We hope that you and your loved ones are safe and healthy during these especially challenging times. As concerns heighten around the spread of Coronavirus, we at Sea Shepherd are committed to the well-being of all, including our crews, staff, volunteers, and supporters. We are committed to protecting the world’s oceans, always.
Poachers don’t stop during public health emergencies, and neither does Sea Shepherd’s resolve to defend marine wildlife. Even under these particularly difficult circumstances, our campaigns remain active. We are taking every precaution to prevent the introduction and spread of illness on our vessels.
Every one of us has the power to make a difference and to make the world a better place. Even now. Here are a few ways we can all help:
- Take care of yourself and each other. Check-in with family, friends, and those who may be at higher risk.
- Seriously maintain social distancing. Do not travel if you do not have to.
Please learn more about how to stay safe during the outbreak, visit the following websites:
USA: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
Canada: Public Health Agency of Canada
Europe: European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control
Australia: Australian Government Department of Health
As part of the Sea Shepherd family, we care about you and you matter to us. We support you and thank you for supporting us as we continue to protect marine life around the world. Sea Shepherd is a global movement, and we stand together, united in our commitment to protect those that cannot protect themselves.
For the oceans,
