‘Extreme Peril’ at California’s Lake Oroville Dam

SACRAMENTO, California, February 13, 2017 (ENS) – Tens of thousands of residents near Lake Oroville in Butte County California have been ordered to evacuate their homes as the auxiliary emergency spillway at Lake Oroville Dam is in danger of failing. Failure of the auxiliary spillway may cause widespread, severe flooding, officials warn.
