New Professional Development Program Course Offers an Introduction to Composites

The following blog is
a segment of a five-part series regarding the Center for the Polyurethanes
Industry’s (CPI) 62nd Annual Polyurethanes Technical Conference.

This year’s Polyurethanes Technical Conference is now only a
few days away. CPI remains committed to providing opportunities for attendees
of the Conference and the Professional
Development Program (PDP)
to foster technical development and increase
their industry knowledge.

Professional
Development Program Highlights: PU 106 (NEW!)

Today’s highlight is a NEW course available this year,
giving attendees the chance to learn more about polyurethane composites.

PU 106: Introduction to Composites
(Sunday, Oct. 6, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.) offers a breakdown of composites,
the history, classification, applications, advantages and disadvantages, and
strategies of its usage. This is followed by delving into overviews of resin and
fiber technology, manufacturing processes and equipment, and recycling and
circular economy.

Insight from an
Expert:

We asked Lee Salamone, Senior Director of CPI, what industry
professionals should know about the PDP:

“The polyurethane industry is continuously
introducing new innovations. New courses such as these are a testament to how
CPI continues to innovate ourselves, adapt to today’s needs, and help ensure
our industry is trained on the most up-to-date topics and practices about
polyurethanes.”

Don’t Forget…

If you haven’t already, register
for the conference
and take advantage of this one-of-a-kind PDP course and
the others. For a full list of the PDPs offered this year, click
